Physiotherapy Case Study of Shoulder and Neck Pain
Male in late 60s presented with 9 month history of left sided neck, shoulder and arm pain
Prior history of similar pain on right side years earlier which had required spinal surgery to resolve, and patient was awaiting appointment with a Neurosurgeon for left sided problem
After the Initial Interview and Examination, it became apparent that a Rotator Cuff Tear in the shoulder was the likely source of the pain
After 3 sessions of treatment and guidance with exercises the patient’s pain had mostly resolved and he cancelled his trip to Newcastle to see the Neurosurgeon!
